Through out her life, Lindsay Lohan has had a number of ups and downs both personally and in her career. She had variety of legal issues spaning over 8 years that resulted in probation and community service, which she finished in 2015.

Lindsay noted then that she was ready to turn her life around. After suffering a miscarriage on her shown 'Lindsay' on the OWN network, she wanted to rid herself of traumas and heal.

"I worked with a shaman doing a cleanse. It was a really eye opening experience with ayahuasca. It was really intense. I saw my whole life in front of me. and I had to let go past things I was trying to hold on to that were dark in my life. I saw myself die, it was insane. I saw myself being born and I feel very different since that, being okay with the wreckage of my past and letting that go."

"When I tried it, I felt crazy, as if I was reborn. IIts was as if I had completely left behind the weights that I myself had created in my past and now I am only looking forward. It is a unique experience and it's changed my life, I'm not going to screw this up again, ever," said Lindsay Lohan.

Lindsay reportedly went to Peru and drank the psychedelic brew under the guidance of a shaman.  She reported haing many visions,  while helped her grow personally and spiritually.

ABOUT US

We are a married couple who found ourselves (and each other!) through plant medicine. We both came from backgrounds of trauma, depression, substance abuse, and hopelessness. With the guidance of plant medicines, we slowly began the lifelong journey of healing.

It was through the wisdom of Ayahuasca that we were able to transform our lives. We were able to tap into our internal intuition, find our strength, and see life with a fresh perspective. It is with humble gratitude that we provide a retreat experience for others so that they too may find balance, healing, and self-love.

Since 2014 we have been fully immersed in our work, not only in an effort to help others but to continue to heal ourselves. We created our retreats with an emphasis on tradition, intention, inclusivity, safety, and respect.

SAFETY

Your physical and emotional safety is our highest priority.

While Ayahuasca is very safe when used properly, there are a few medical conditions as well as medications that are contraindicated. During the booking process, you will be asked to complete a medical questionnaire to ensure that you can safely participate in an Ayahuasca retreat. In case of emergency, both Matt and Jeanae are certified in CPR and have trained with the use of our AED (Automated External Defibrillator).

Our intimate groups ensure that we can provide quality service and attention to each guest. Every ceremony is supported by 4 staff: Our ayahuasqueros, Matthew and Jeanae drink ayahuasca with each group at every ceremony to help guide the experience. They are always supported by at least two additional helpers - one male and one female to ensure that everyone feels safe and comfortable during such a vulnerable and emotional experience

Inclusivety

Working with Ayahuasca is a great responsibility. Every year we continue with this work, we realize how much more there is to learn and how much deeper we can go. We are dedicated to continuing our education in the traditional Peruvian Mestizo use of Ayahuasca.  Every year we travel to the jungles of Iquitos, Peru to complete master plant dietas, studying under the guidance of our teacher, famed shaman Don Ron Wheelock

According to Peruvian traditions, completing master plant dietas is the single most important and effective way to learn to work with Ayahuasca and other powerful plants. During dietas you develop a relationship with the spirits of the plants to gain allies, protectors, defenders, and healers. You can then call upon these spirits in the ceremony space to assist with the energetic needs of each participant.

During the dieta's we learn our Icaros, or medicine songs. Some of these songs come from our teacher and are passed down through generations, while other songs come directly from the spirit of the plants themselves. These powerful songs are used in the Ayahuasca ceremonies to initiate healing. It is with great reverence and honor that we bring these lessons of Peruvian traditions into Ayahuasca Costa Rica retreat.

A SPACE FOR HEALING

Our intention is to share the magic of Ayahuasca by creating a safe and sacred space where our guests can explore the depths of their soul. We honor the gravity of the trust that is placed in us by every participant who chooses our retreat.

Working with Ayahuasca has been a challenging experience over the years, and it is not without immense gratitude that we continue to host these retreats. It is humbling to do this work. We sacrifice a lot of ourselves in service to Ayahuasca and helping others, but it is not without the reward of healing ourselves and developing lifelong friendships.

Ayahuasca was the light at the end of the tunnel in the darkest times of our lives. We are truly indebted to plant medicine for giving us all that we have, including each other.
